Recent News

Bring On the Birds won a 2011 Parents' Choice Award and has been selected by the 

American Library Association as a 2011 Notable Children's Book. It has also been nominated for a CYBILS award.  Click here to read my interview with the National Wildlife Federation about how I created it.

Pomegranate Publishers has just published a coloring book of my bird illustrations called Susan Stockdale's Birds: Coloring Book. Then in May, it will publish a puzzle featuring six of my animal images called Susan Stockdale's Animals, as well as notecards. All of these products will be sold internationally.

Licensing rights were sold to Korea for three of my titles: Bring On the Birds, Fabulous Fishes, and Carry Me! Animal Babies on the Move.

Peachtree Publishers will publish a board book version of Fabulous Fishes this March. 

I'm currently creating the illustrations for a picture book about striped animals to be published by Peachtree in Spring, 2013. I have written the book in rhyme and have included an afterword with information about all the animals.
